Key Responsibilities:

Manage electronic health records

Conduct phlebotomy procedures

Handle patient intake and scheduling

Answer phone calls, including handling of non-medical issues

Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and document management

Qualifications:

Proficient in Apple Mac systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Practical experience in phlebotomy

VACANCY: Medical Receptionist
Office Location: Woodbrook, Port of Spain.
The Medical Administrative assistant is responsible for the smooth and efficient functioning
of the Medical Office by providing support and assistance to the Physician and patients,
ensuring that all parties are provided with the highest quality of service and health care.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 O’ levels, including Mathematics and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office.
- A basic accounting knowledge would be an asset.
- Minimum 2 years experience working as Medical Receptionist or similar work
setting.
§ Minimum of 2 work references (from previous employers) required.

Hours: Mon – Fri 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Probation period: 4-6 months
Probation Salary: $4000
Salary after probation: $4200
Salaries are commensurate with level of qualification and experience.

Duties: (include but not limited to)
• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone.
• Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper
telephone etiquette.
• Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized.
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting
patient detailed patient information including personal, and insurance information
accurately.
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of
delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff.
• Responds to patients', prospective patients, and visitor inquiries in a courteous
manner
• Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs,
placing orders, and monitoring office equipment
• Protects patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is
secured by not leaving PHI in plain site and logging off the computer before leaving
it unattended
• Perform basic but accurate bookkeeping duties, such as credits or collections,
preparing and sending bills, and keeping financial records.
• Receive and route messages and documents such as laboratory results, appropriately.
• Assist in compiling and recording medical charts, reports, and correspondences.
• Transmit correspondence or medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax.
• Maintain medical records, and correspondence files
• Expected to perform operational related errands
• Liaise with other health institutions to coordinate tests for patients as required.
